About these Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a contract between you and Jazi Connect (the "seller", "we", "our", or "us"), the operator of the Jazi Connect AAC communication application at www.jaziconnect.com. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

Who can use Jazi Connect

Jazi Connect is designed for children, but accounts must be created and supervised by a parent, guardian, or caregiver who is at least 18 years old. By creating an account you confirm you are an adult acting on behalf of a child and that the information you provide is accurate.

Your account

Keep your sign-in information confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Notify us at support@jaziconnect.com if you believe your account has been used without permission.

Your content

Cards, labels, phrases, and images you upload remain yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to host, store, and display that content inside Jazi Connect so the app works for your family. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, or that you do not have permission to use.

Our intellectual property

The Jazi Connect application, branding, default picture cards, code, and design are owned by Jazi Connect and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for personal, non-commercial use within your purchased plan. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app.

Subscriptions

Jazi Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, available at $9.99 USD per month or $89.99 USD per year. A limited set of cards and features is available free of charge; Jazi Pro unlocks the full card library and all parent editing tools. Applicable taxes may be added depending on your location. Prices may change in the future, with notice before any change takes effect for an existing subscription.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Customers who previously purchased lifetime access keep that access permanently at no further cost.

Purchases made in the iOS app

Subscriptions purchased inside the Jazi Connect iOS app are billed through your Apple ID. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Purchases made on the website

Our website order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for web orders. Paddle handles billing enquiries, cancellations, and refunds under its Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on web purchases — email support@jaziconnect.com or see our full Refund Policy. This guarantee does not apply to App Store purchases, which Apple handles directly.

Not medical advice

Jazi Connect is a communication tool. It is not a medical device and not a substitute for evaluation or therapy by a qualified speech-language pathologist or healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional for your child's specific needs.

Acceptable use

Don't use the app for anything unlawful, don't attempt to reverse engineer the app or probe its security, don't disrupt our infrastructure, don't scrape the service, and don't use the app to harass anyone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our policies.

Service availability and disclaimers

We work hard to keep Jazi Connect running smoothly, but we provide the app on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence).

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, when appropriate, communicated in the app.
